Shezad Dawood (UK/Pakistan) will present in the world premiere of “Episode 6” of the series Leviathan. Leviathan is an ambitious ten-part film cycle conceived and directed by Shezad Dawood inaugurated in Venice in May 2017 to coincide with the 57th Art Biennale, examining some of the pressing issues of our time. In dialogue with a wide range of marine biologists, oceanographers, political scientists, neurologists and trauma specialists, Leviathan envisions a future very similar to our present to examine the possible links between borders, mental health and marine well-being. Each episode is taken from the perspective of a different character and their journey. The project also contains a dynamic series of textiles, sculpture and neon, collectively imagining a world where the fault lines between marine well-being, mental health and migration are not fully understood or are not answered. answered.
